When the American Music Awards go down in November, expect it to be one huge ladies’ night, with A-listers Katy Perry, Adele, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift dominating the nominations, announced Tuesday (October 11). Case in top: The show’s huge category, Artist of the Year, has five nominees, but only one is a dude. Lil Wayne, Adele, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift are all up for the award.
The Pop or Rock Music: Pet Album nominees also belong to the women, with Gaga’s Born This Way, Rihanna’s Loud and Adele’s 21. Meanwhile, the Pop or Rock Music: Pet Female Artist nominees are Adele, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry. Here are some gentlemen in the mix, of course.
